Liverpool forward Divock Origi is edging closer to securing a move to AC Milan after reportedly agreeing a contract worth €4m per year.

The Belgian international is out of contract at the end of the season with the Rossoneri and Newcastle rumoured to be interested.

Milan have also been linked with Chelsea striker Armando Broja, who is currently on loan at Southampton.

Federico Zancan, a journalist for Sky Italia, encouraged Milan to sign Broja instead of Origi, describing the latter as “a part-time player”.

“He’s a part-time player, and despite having little space, he has remained and become a cult for Liverpool fans. He’s a strong player and is very attractive to big teams in Europe. In the last season, Klopp has also used him out wide,” Zancan said.

The Serie A giants are taking no notice of his comments, however, with Daniele Longo and Alfredo Pedulla (via SB Nation) both saying a deal to bring Origi to the San Siro is nearly done.

Pedulla states that the 26-year-old agreed a €4m per year deal including bonuses. Longo, on the other hand, says a deal is ‘97%’ complete and will be finalised soon.

Origi has struggled for game time this season. He has only started five times and has played a total of 533 minutes.

In his limited minutes, the former Lille striker has scored five times, including a 94th-minute winner against Wolves in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Alisson Becker is ready to throw himself into attack again if necessity dictates Liverpool need a goal to keep their trophy quest on track.

The Brazil international famously scored an added-time winner with a header from a corner at West Brom late last season which helped the Reds’ bid to secure Champions League qualification.

“I think if it is needed it is clear I am going,” said Alisson. “If they call me, I go. If not, no problem. We have enough players to score.

“I hope it will not be necessary but if it is needed, if it is the last time (to score), we will try everything we have to win the games.”
