Arsenal are one of many English clubs to have made an offer for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, according to the Spaniard’s agents.
The 26-year-old has been at Real Madrid since 2014 and is out of contract at the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.
He is yet to decide on his future amid interest from the Premier League and Serie A.
Los Blancos are reportedly keen on extending his deal and have offered him a €5m per year salary, plus add ons.
Asensio has played 34 times this term but does not tend to start and finish games under Carlo Ancelotti.
It was revealed last month that Arsenal are the club ‘most interested’ in signing the Madrid forward, who is valued at £36m by Transfermarkt.
Asensio’s agents have confirmed the Gunners’ interest and say they are “proud” their client is linked with a move to AC Milan.
“We are proud of Milan’s interest,” the player’s agents are reported to have said (via the Mirror).
“The Rossoneri are an option even if there are offers from a couple of English clubs, including Arsenal. We are ready to evaluate every option.”
Asensio spent the recent international break in Milan, sparking rumours that his trip indicates where his future lies.
Abraham has hit the ground running after leaving the Blues for Roma last summer. He has grabbed 23 goals and four assists from his 41 appearances this term.
“Abraham reminds me of Emmanuel Adebayor, his physical presence in the penalty area,” Petit said.
“I’m pretty sure he wants to come back to England and he would fit perfectly at Arsenal because he’s a different player to Alexandre Lacazette with a different style, different physique and he’s a goalscorer.
“Even at Chelsea he was scoring goals, not as many as he wanted, but he’s 24 years old so he still has a lot to learn.”
