Eddie Nketiah’s brace helped Arsenal return to winning ways against their London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Four goals were scored during a frantic opening half. Nketiah punished Andreas Christensen for his poor back pass as he scored past Edouard Mendy. Timo Werner made it 1-1 shortly after via his deflected effort.
Arsenal went 2-1 ahead before the interval through a clinical counter-attack that was finished off by Emile Smith Rowe. Again, they were not ahead for long as Cezar Azpilicueta scored Chelsea’s second.
After the restart, the Gunners went ahead once again. Chelsea were unable to clear and this enabled Nketiah to score his second of the game. Bukayo Saka netted from the penalty spot late on to seal the victory.
