Everton midfielder Allan is reportedly ‘ready to free himself’ from the club in the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian joined the Merseyside club for around £21m after a successful spell with Napoli.

League One is the junction at which football in England meets

He has struggled to replicate his form for the Serie A outfit, especially this term as Everton sit 17th in the league, three points above the drop zone.

Allan perhaps believes he can get back to his best if he reunites with Maurizio Sarri at Lazio, with Il Messaggero (via Sport Witness) claiming that they are keen on signing the 31-year-old.

The Italian side are planning a ‘revolution’ next season. Inter Milan’s Matias Vecino is another midfield target.

The report says that Allan is ‘ready to free himself’ from the Goodison Park club and a reunion with Sarri could resurrect his career.

Having paid a large transfer fee for the midfielder, Everton will be unlikely to give in to Lazio’s demands, who are keen on signing him on a free transfer.

His contract expires in 2023, however, meaning the Toffees might look to cash in on Allan in the upcoming summer window.

Meanwhile, Everton manager Frank Lampard insists Sean Dyche’s Burnley departure “doesn’t affect” his side.

Dyche was sacked last Friday by the Clarets, who drew 1-1 at West Ham on Sunday with Mike Jackson in caretaker charge.

With seven matches to play, Burnley are 18th in the Premier League, three points behind Everton, who have a game in hand.

When asked at his pre-match press conference about Dyche’s sacking, Lampard said: “Firstly, Sean Dyche has been an incredible manager of the club.

“I think that’s been quite a universal reaction to it, but the club have decided to make a change, and Sean Dyche I’m sure deserves maybe a bit of a rest and then will get a fantastic job because of the level of manager he has shown himself to be. I wish Sean all the best going forward on that.

“It doesn’t affect Everton. I saw a quote this week saying we were let off the hook that it’s happened. I don’t see how. This doesn’t change anything – Burnley are a good team and used to fighting to stay in the Premier League, and that fact will remain the same.”
