West Ham manager David Moyes is reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid playmaker Isco.
Los Blancos are eager to decrease their wage bill in the summer and will be helped by Marcelo, Gareth Bale and Isco leaving when their contracts expire.
The Spanish attacking midfielder has only played 342 minutes across all competitions this season,
He has been linked with a move to Serie A, meanwhile, Arsenal, Newcastle and Sevilla have also been mentioned.
However, El Espanyol (via HITC) claim that Moyes is ‘desperate’ to bring Isco to the Premier League.
The Scot apparently feels like he doesn’t have a player of Isco’s profile at the London Stadium.
The four-time Champions League winner has become something of an outcast at Real Madrid, but has made 350 appearances for the La Liga giants.
Elsewhere, West Ham are still the “best club possible” for Declan Rice amid reports linking him with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, according to Carlton Cole.
The 23-year-old is now rightly considered to be one of the standout players in the Premier League after helping the Hammers to a sixth-place finish last season.
“Where is he going? I just can’t see him going anywhere and [clubs] affording the price,” Cole told the Daily Mail.
“I don’t think Chelsea can do it at the moment for obvious reasons. Where else is he going to go? Man United? No, they aren’t in a good place at the moment either. Why go to Man United when you can stay at West Ham?
“We’ll finish above Man United and what are you gonna say then? Nothing, you can’t just go and get our best players. We’ll finish above Man United and no one is going to stay anything. He is gonna stay at the best club possible.
“I don’t see a reason why Declan would want to leave. He is not the sort of guy that is going to be chasing after money, otherwise he’d have done that by now.
“He knows his home truths, he knows exactly what he needs to do and that is play regular football, and he is doing that at West Ham and he is the main man.”
